Bill’s Bio
  • You want to have a safe and secure adventure when exploring the back country of North America. Bill consistently demonstrates the ability to evaluate environmental conditions and participant readiness while adjusting program and challenges to maintain a safe yet challenging experience when faced with dynamic conditions in the field.


  • You also want to have a fun and rewarding experience. Bill discovered the value and joy of wilderness adventure at the young age of 12. He has 13 years of experience planning, executing, and training staff to lead life enriching adventures such as backpacking, climbing and rappelling, white and flat water canoeing, caving, and the like. These experiences require exceptional adventure tradecraft, as well as insightful communication and facilitation skills. Bill’s strengths are identifying teachable moments and guiding reflection experiences that insure maximum learning and fulfillment.


  • With a BS degree in communications, Bill also believes in life long learning. Passionate about teaching, people, and nature, Bill consumes studies on wildlife & Forestry, behavior, interpersonal communication, and sociology. Blend Bill’s skills and passions together and you get a guide with attention to detail, of personal integrity and who is warm, friendly, encouraging, and fun.

Jon’s Bio
  •       Jon is passionate about the outdoors, but what truly makes him a wonderful guide is that he enjoys showing adventurers the beauty of the places they visit as well as helping them get to know new skills that will help them feel empowered and fulfilled in their experience.   Jon’s favorite outdoor activities include hiking, camping, climbing and mountain biking.   He is a graduate of Natural Resources and Environmental Technology from Cornell University.  He offers all his guests a safe and adventurous experience that they long remember.
  •       Jon has 10 years of climbing experience and has worked in the outdoor industry for over 8 years.   He recently completed the AMGA Instructor Course in North Carolina.  The AMGA is a nationally recognized climbing organization dedicated to training safe climbing guides. He has climbed in Yosemite, Colorado, the Shauwangunks, Tennessee Wall, Looking Glass Rock, the Red River Gorge, and many other places across the United States.  In Yosemite, he recently climbed The Prow a big wall on Washington’s Column (V 5.8 C2+), Lost Arrow Spire, and other valley classics.  He began an outdoor rock climbing program in 1998 for the Wyman Center, Inc and continues to lead climbing programs for youth and adults both privately and for local outdoor organizations.   When he is not climbing he teaches science at a St. Louis independent school.

"River and Caving Experience"
  • River and Caving Experience
    • GENERAL OVERVIEW:


    • Day 1:  Arrive Keyes 9:30 am
    • Float Explore Bear Cave and Sump Cave
    • Camp in Backcountry


    • Day  2:  Float and Explore Twisted Canyon Cave
    • Camp in Backcountry


    • Day 3: Finish Float Arrive Blue Springs
    • Depart 5:00 pm


    • Add’l Details:Each Participant will receive the following gear:   sleeping pad, water bottle, 2 liter group water bottle, bowl and eating utensils, and helmets.   Tents will also be provided.   Participants will be responsible for their own personal gear for the duration of the trip.  See attached equipment sheet for details



    • Fee: 3-day Adventure, Leasburg, Missouri $260 - $295
    • Final fee will be contingent on the # of students participating and supplemental outfitting expenses.
